About Us
Lake Grove Job Seekers has been empowering job seekers to navigate career transitions for over 20 years. Our free program supports all job seekers, whether they are unemployed, exploring a new path, or re-entering the workforce.
Our mission is to help you help yourself get a job. We don't do the work for you, but provide help along. Our help includes many types of support:
- Each week, industry experts, recruiters, and local coaches share insights at our in-person Monday Meetings on the nuts and bolts of a job search, or other essential topics like staying motivated and communicating effectively.
- Our online Skill Builder Workshops dive deeper, providing cutting-edge tools and techniques to help job seekers stand out in today’s tough job market.
- We provide mock interviews and resume reviews.
- As resources allow, participants have the opportunity to work with a mentor who brings real-world experience in hiring, leadership, or coaching across a range of industries. Mentors provide guidance, accountability, and support.
Our in-person services are open to all residents of the Portland metro area, while online offerings are open to all.
Lake Grove Job Seekers is a non-denominational group sponsored by Lake Grove Presbyterian Church. All are welcome.
