30/60/90-Day Plans
These documents can help those interviewing for executive-level positions stand out from the crowd. Once you know enough about the company you'll be able to craft a document that demonstrates your commitment, drive, strategic thinking, and functional expertise. Use Word or PowerPoint to create a professional-looking document that you can use in an interview and leave behind as tangible proof of your expertise.
See the documents linked below for more information about this tool, and a template for how to create one.
This is a good place to use AI to help: use your base resume, the job posting, and the PowerPoint template linked below, and ask the AI tool to create one for you as a first draft.
Qualifications Matrix/Suitability Map
This tool is a simple table with the job requirements on the left and how you meet those requirements on the right. This is a great place to use AI to create a draft table.
You can also use this tool elsewhere: as page 3 of your resume or as part of your cover letter (with a limited set of qualifications to save space).
See the examples linked below.
Again, this is a good place to use AI to help: use your base resume, the job posting, and the examples linked below, and ask the AI tool to create one for you as a first draft.
Portfolios/Walking Decks
Portfolios are not just for creatives; they can help you stand out in the interview process. The components of a portfolio are primarily all of the documents mentioned above plus your resume and other information such as your CliftonStrengths. It brings it all together in one place, in a nice package.
Remember that your focus should be on the reader, it's not about you. Including your CliftonStrengths without explaining how they make you better at your job doesn't add anything.
You can start with a Word document and include your resume (in a portrait format), or use a slide deck (the Walking Deck examples) in landscape format.
See the links below for examples and more information.
AI may be helpful in creating a first draft for you, but you have to be very explicit in your prompt about what you want the output to contain, and what it should look like. If you have some of the component pieces created in Word, it will be simpler to create one long Word document to use as a starting place. If you have a 30/60/90 day plan in PowerPoint, you can build on that.
