80,000 Hours is a nonprofit that researches which careers have the largest positive social impact and provides career advice based on that research. 

Goodwill Job Connection career centers provide job seekers with personalized resources, training, and advice. Job seekers are paired with an Employment Specialist in their area. Career Centers locally include SE Portland and Wilsonville. While Goodwill used to primarily help those with developmental disabilities, they have changed their focus to help anyone with barriers to employment, which they define very broadly.

The NCRC is a multi-functional, Nationally Known and Recognized credential designed to document the current essential skills of job seekers and students. A Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum certificate can point to a specific industry and/or job type that is translates into a "right fit" for an employer.
